Summary Of The Beggar

The story revolves around a man named Bogard, a beggar who first appears to be a victim of poverty. He is taken to a wealthy lawyer named Luker by a kind-hearted stranger. Initially, Bogard pleads for help and sympathy, claiming that he has lost his job and is destitute. However, his story gradually reveals layers of deception.

Luker, feeling pity for him, offers Bogard some money and a job as a house servant, hoping to rehabilitate him. However, he soon discovers that Bogard has no intention of changing his life; instead, he prefers to beg and exploit the kindness of others. He is unwilling to work, and his manipulative behavior is exposed when he cleverly deceives Luker about his abilities and intentions.

As Luker begins to understand Bogard's true nature, he realizes that some people are resistant to help and prefer to remain in their plight rather than strive for a better life. In the end, Luker tells him that he will no longer help him.
